Phuk bolted trailers. 3 of the last 4 broken flats I’ve seen are bolted instead of welded. They crack at a bolt hole. Weld everything you can and bolt the rest.

What exactly broke? Cause i see the axles are still attached and the hitch looks like its still hooked to the truck.
the original semi hitch had 14 1/2 bolts holding it together mine has 20 1/2 bolts grade 8
and my axles setup has 28 1/2 bolts grade 8 as well

It looks really nice and I like the mounts you made for those little lights! A little over kill for that mower though. Haha

1) what are you welding with?
2) Are you a weldor by trade? looks like a welding bed on that dodge.
3) Are those fenders intended to be driven over or removed?

1) mostly with a spool gun( miller 180 with 100 spoolmate) Some tig (miller 180 diversion) depends on thickness
2)I worked in a fab shop in high school,I am currently a Marine engineer Offshore and They just had me go thru a Welding class last year to be a certified welder. Yes the dodge has a welder bed style but its nowhere finished i will be starting on it soon and possibly make it my back up hobby when not offshore
3)Driven over. They are made from 1/2 aluminum plate

well when the mower has a 72" deck it will only fit on my goosneck trailer or my neighbors car hauler and i don't like borrowing stuff.
You know me i love overkill.

So a fellow co-worker showed me a trick of lightly scorched the wood with a propane torch and so i had to try it
I must say the results were outstanding
i then sealed the floor with timber oil to make it hold the texture that it has now

So the Trailer came with these holes for chain tie downs
"Dad Says weld the up" "I say nah it will be cool"
Searched all over the internet to find only one time that looks similar to what would fit
order 10, realize later that i needed 12 and not to mention they don't line up at all
so modifications i made

I've never seen those before, but I like them a lot! Are you going to clean up the larger holes right next to them?
