Everything I have found also is that FCA ceased production temporarily to await the EPA certification as all diesels in the US are getting re-evaluated because of the VW scandal. I think they have that certification now which is why you can build one again on the website but not sure if production as started again.

I can tell you the reason we didn't buy one for the wife was not the diesel but the crap ass interior that came in that truck. My '09 has nicer door panels and seats than the brand new ECO diesel 1/2 we test drove. Not impressed.

Not really sure how you can say that. I've had a 2000 Laramie, a 2007 Laramie and a 2012 Laramie. Each one of those trucks were a significant improvement over the previous. Several months ago my dad got a 16 Longhorn, and that's insanely nice.

I'd disagree. If you get a mid to high option truck they are the nicest interiors I've seen available right now. Love my 10' but would love the newer better.

Lol Ariat model.

Yea man to each their own. In my opinion when speaking of low to mid grade interiors GM is weak sauce.

The gm interior is gross in low to mid level. And meh in the higher level.

Dodge don't need leather to be nice but the nicer gauge package and centre consol do wonders.

This is exactly why I bought mine. I tow a big ass boat a few times a month to the coast. I could do it with my previous truck, a '14 Tundra, but the fuel mileage was terrible.

Could have bought a 2500 but then my daily commute mileage would suck. I settled on an ED and love it. I get about 16 mpg towing a large center console, my friends 06' Cummins actually does worse towing mileage wise than I get when hooked to the same boat.

I sincerely hope they keep selling these, my only regret is that I didn't get a more optioned out truck. I'd love a Longhorn package. However, the Big Horn isn't bad.
