idi horsepower

was wondering if you guys could tell me how much hp your getting out of your naturally aspirated 6.9 and 7.3. this is not really helpful to me in any way i have just always been curious as to how much hp the old idi motors are capable of without a turbo or with i don't care lol
 
These results are rear wheel SAE horsepower numbers achieved on TS Performance's SuperFlow dynometer during the 2009 IDI Weekend in Bowling Green, Kentucky, and represent a large cross section of truck models and styles. Some Powerstroke engines are listed for comparison. Most were modified.

im not 100% sure exactly how much the idi can handle but im pretty sure that they can handle up to 400hp/450hp farely safe however thats about max before you have to do mods to th actual block. but i do know they push approx. 180hp and 315lbs-ft of torque factory. hope this helps you a little
 
they aint the biggest power house motor and aint fast by no means, but if you want somthen that is a work horse get 4.10's with a 6.9 or 7.3 idi and you got a pretty good peice of equipment
