I'm curious what it's like to drive with those. The only 12 valve I've driven is my own and it's always had 4k's. I didn't realize the throttle sensitivity people speak of until driving my girl's car yesterday. Felt like a had to mat the throttle to get going lol.

Yea mines already pretty touchy. Where I had to make my own linkage. Only about half travel of a normal truck.

Finally got a fuel pressure gauge in the truck. It was only
Making 23psi. The airdog spring was pretty much collapsed. I stretched it and added some shims and got it up to 60-65. Gonna see how it holds when making a pass. Weather is looking good to go racing tomorrow!

Truck is fueling a lot harder now. Only got to make one pass do to oil leaks. Before truck would almost clean up in 2nd and 3rd. Now it doesn’t even start to clean up. So time for more nitrous. Also gonna take timing way down. I’ve lost a lot on bottom end and not gained any up top. I’m gonna go down to 26 and try it. With the stock cam I believe being so high it’s making power out of the cams range.

Found out today I must’ve lost the head gasket this past weekend. Gonna take the time and fire ring it like it should be.

Just alittle update lost 5 out of 6 cylinders on the headgasket. Surprisingly the truck was still running fine somehow. But head is being fire ringed and if all works out a lot of fun things are coming up this next month!

Decided it’s time to go ahead and backhalf the truck since I have a few weeks to mess with it. Will be fairly simple not going for any real weight savings mostly just getting axle clearance. Also narrowing the axle so now the slicks will be fully tucked Click the image to open in full size.

It will look so much better with the tire tucked. Cool build.

Nothing says drop your panties like a tubbed truck with huge meats stuffed under it.

Been a busy few weeks. Haven’t gotten as much done on the truck as I would like. I plan to have it back on it’s own weight by this weekend. But I’ll still be waiting on axleshafts. The rear lost 11-5/8 on each side. Inside to inside of the slicks is now 32in. Outside to Outside is 70.5-71in. Sure looks mean even if it doesn’t run like it is. Also. The ends of the frame rails are gonna be cut off. They were previously off soemthing else. All the 45 bracing and everything is coming off. Gonna cut it off about 1.5 feet back from the down bars.

Alittle more progress. This as as high of ride height possible. When I’m the ground it’s gonna set roughly 4 inches lower then the pictures. Looking like we’re getting somewhere Click the image to open in full size.Click the image to open in full size.

Also got some goodies in the past couple weeks.
Will now have two stages of spray. One small solenoid with a .052 and a big one with a .135. Picked up a smeding billet 488. I’m hoping with spray I can keep it lit. Also got some better tear calipers. The cheap 1 piston calipers couldn’t hold enough boost trying to stage hoping with them and a bigger master cylinder that issue will be resolved aswell.
