5.9 crank in a 6.7

08 mega man

cornfused
I was wondering if you could do this I've heard you could lengthen the rods to make up for it but I wasn't sure does anyone have any idea what I would have to do to run this or if it even beneficial for the work and money put in it

The only benefit i can see is a better throttle response? I dont see it worth the time and money to do this sort of swap.

it will lower the torsional forces yet give you a bigger bore and will be better on the top end. theres a benefit to it if youre wanting a bored out 5.9 as you lose cylinder wall and block strength. you can switch to the 6.7 block and hae the nice bore youd like without effecting the structural stability like you would in a 5.9. its better for the drag racing guys IMO as they like that high rpm. dont get me wrong, its good for pulling too but i think the destoking thing is better suited for the strip.
