Diesel swap troubles

Ok guys and gals. I swapped a 95 12v into my 98 that had a v10 and it all runs good bur having issues with my transmission it goes fine in reverse but it goes straight to 3rd gear in drive like its in limp mode, anyone have any ideas? Thanks

I don't know what the V10 tranny needs to work properly as far as input from the ECM or PCM, but when I put my '95 engine into my '98.5 24V truck, I had to use all the 24V sensors including the APPS and crank sensor from the 24V engine as well as the 24V ECM to get mine to work properly. Basically, I had to make the truck "think" the 12V engine was a 24V.

Did you swap the 95 rh trans with the 12v also? What trans did you end up with?
