i pulled a garrett turbo of a 400hp 92 or so detroit 6v92 it has a 3.1" [78mm or so] inducer .75 ar and a 1.21 or so exhaust ar. does anyone have an idea what i have??

I'd say it's a Garrett...

Wouldn't that be between a GT42 and GT45 size? I don't know the old Garretts, so I'll let someone else guess for me.

There should be a data tag on the side of the center housing. Call a turbo shop with those numbers and they will decode it for ya. I bet is a TV series, maybe a TV-71 or so.
