Not that i know a lot about duramaxes but im trying to learn when i get a chance. At the local chevy dealer where my friend works they have had trucks coming in with check engine lights throwing map codes and every time they have either a different intake (mostly KnN) or different air filters other then GM. As soon as the stock intake pieces with a gm filter go back on.. the code clears and doesn't come back. i was just curious if anyone else has experienced that as well.

Yes it happens. Sometimes the K&N oil get on the MAF and it just needs to be cleaned and other times the new intake causes the MAF to misread and turns on the light.

thanks i was just curious if it was just him having that issue or if everyone else had the same issue. I knew about the K n N filters being over oiled i just thought it was odd that even just changing the air filter only made it turn the light on
