Anyone do a short box to longbox conversion?

Has anyone attempted this ? I have a 94 reg cab longbox and 97 ext cab shortbox. I'm thinking there is a seam I can separate on both frames and add the longbox section to extended cab truck. Is it this simple? I know wiring, brake lines, driveshaft, etc will need to be lengthened.

The seam is at the fwd leaf spring hanger the aft frame section is the same. The length difference is in the fwd frame section.

You would have to add approx 16 inches to the rear of the front section. The tail section long and short is really close to the same. You would also be missing the rear sections last bolt hole for the bed.

I'm thinking about finding a good rear section of frame and section the frames together between the rear cab mount and front box mount. This is where most people I've found go from longbox to shortbox conversion. Thanks.

I picked up a good rear section of frame out of Arkansas. Thanks for the offer.
