Well, the schedule is out: News Results
But it looks as though the 10.90 class is still up in the air:

More events this year, new places Sacramento and Salt Lake. Woodburn was dropped, doesn't surprise me, was a very poor turn out last year.

Yeah, I understand it. Just sucks for those of us that are a good bit faster than the 11.90 class but too slow for the 9 second Super Street trucks. That's a fairly large gap.

Soooooo there will be a NHRDA 10.90 class this year but they will NOT be having a points chase this year. Sucks but it is what it is. Just wanted to inform those who were wondering how the 10.90 class was going to pan out for this season.

What was the prize money for the points chase last year?

This is great news, I thought I was going to have to try to move up to the Super Street class and I didn't want to be gapped by all the heavy hitters in that class, especially you TSD trucks!!!!
Maybe we can have a rematch in the 10.90 class..... Dmax vs. Dinosaur

We definitely need a rematch!!!! Do you know how much flak I've taken for losing that final round in 10.90????

Yes for sure. That was one of the best races I had all year. Atleast a close 2nd to that one time in st.louis where I won against ray's 10.899

Hmmm. Well I wonder what the reason is for having the class but no points chase. Doesn't seem like it would be a money issue then. I could be wrong though.

That's what I'm saying. Yet ss pays that per race and has similar number of competitors

I'd rather compete in a class that takes drivers skill to go rounds not just going all out every time

It's a bit more complicated then just putting it on kill every round but I get what your saying. I left 10.90 because I was tried of hitting the brakes and most the races only had 2-3 people, sometimes none when I was racing. Super Street isn't much better but the passes are much more fun to me and the payout is better even with a little amount of people. I do miss having a truck I could daily drive and go run 10.90's with though

I'm just plain ole not fast enough at the moment. I'm guessing I'll be running around 10.8's after the diet.

The lower classes, Sportman, 11.90, and 10.90 are driving skill classes. I agree it's fun to let it rip, but but to cut an 0.0x light on a 0.4 protree and then run the number within a couple of thousands is a hell of a lot of fun.

99% of the time a track can't take "Kill mode" so your skill is trying to figure out tuning that it will take and apply it. And cutting good lights is still a huge factor... Super Street FTW!

I agree, I raced 10.90 the first year it started, I had a good time, had some very close races down to a .003 win margins. It was fun but the class didn't have much people in it so it was hard to say if it was going to take off or not. I was at the point that I needed to build an engine so I just took the leap to super street since I was putting that much money into the motor anyways. Now super street is just a battle of who can apply the most power down without spinning, if you spin your done. If my truck wasn't past the point of no return I'd probably come back and race 10.90, just as fun and a lot cheaper. I wouldn't even consider jumping to super street for all the current 10.90 guys, we just want more people to race lol

Don't worry, I got plenty of changes for 2017 that will add to the stupidness.
