Gonna keep it fenderless with a flat black hotrod theme. Still need to narrow the 9" and do a mini tub. Only ~6 inches on each side. From my measurements the slicks will be a couple inches narrower than the cab. If i were to have fenders i would have done a more traditional backhalf with coilovers inside frame rails. Hopin the width will give me more stability on the big end of the track. Looks a little funny without any weight in the front. Bet it crunches down nicely

I'd keep that color, it's unique and too many people going flat black IMO. Sweet project!

Looks pretty neat.
Keep your chin up and don't get overwhelmed, lots of projects start off strong but slow down a lot at the end.

Ya thanks everyone. It still early on, but i go most of it planned out. Hardest part for me was the chassis work because ive never done something quite so extensive. Now that i got my angles and geometry figured out i have much more piece of mind. Got my pipe bender a few days ago so when i get back into town from work i'll start on the cage. Priced 1 5/8 dom .120 wall at $4.10 ft and 1 3/4 at $3.90. So i was considering just building it with some extra beef. Id hate to lose this thing near the finish line. Guess ill order a 2011 nhra rulebook and an sfi book. Not sure which one to get tho. Not familar with them. Any recommendation?

Cool build. The 73-79 Fords are my favourite, but the 67-72 have a look all their own. Are you keeping the I-beams up front, or gonna go with an A-arm suspension?

Ya I'm gonna try to keep the ibeams. The camber is going to be terrible soon at the new ride height. I'm thinking of dreambeams and stiffer springs or stock springs and a little angle adjustment with the torch.
Wasn't expecting people to like the color. Wow. So early on in the build just may keep it or some form if green whether lighter or darker.
