Can't beat a Dmax IMO just tune and lift pump and hit the track under 1,000$

can't say i've ever failed a block, so your comment about 6L blocks is false, Mike made unbelievable stupid power, just a few tweeks and billet rods and you'll see these 6.4's come out strong, my 6L runs low 10's consistant and finishs events

I would love to come out and race but got to show the crowd a 6.0l can pull a sled just as good as the competition.
From my smart car.

Except for the $3000 you have to put in to a tranny

There were like 5 dmax's at the track the other night. All of them running 14.7's consistently. My 2.9 60 fts were killing me to 17 flat but had the mph on the big end. Need to try 4wd. It would either hop or spin in 2wd.

actually you can, we do it every day. 6.4 runs 12.7-8 in a ccsb for under $1500 .. we need no lift pump trans or anything. that being said, the safer tune up's run 13.0-13.1 .... and rarely cause any issues.

Here's a vid of our 7.3L at Indy this weekend. 11.14@122
http://youtu.be/dCImZAVq3kk
(Don't know how to make the vid come up on the screen to watch in the thread.)

Wow, takes a lot of dough and work to make a 7.3 run like that. How much power is it making? Is the block stock?

Thats bolt on parts for the most part. BTS tranny, 38R turbo, 250/200 Full Force Diesel Stage 3 injectors, SRP1 oil pump, progressive nitrous, and Tyrant Diesel tuning. It's the original block that came in the truck with over 200,000 miles. Very minimal in the grand scheme of things. Calculators put it over 700, but I don't really know for sure. The biggest part is that its a 2wd. Ladder bars and coil overs in the rear with slicks.

Since the 6.4 is so bad, anyone wanna buy one? Got a buddy selling one after his 3rd oil cooler. Already had to go through tranny, running spartan tunes.
