Went back to the track sunday

we did drop a little bit of weight, left at 20psi and i did a better job of shifting, its in the shop loosing more weight now, and tires are on the way

7.67

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YOf0GMQz0qs

just as it passes the camera its toping out 2nd locked and you can see the smoke starts getting thin. we didnt change anything on the engine at all and boost was still 64psi and the pyro was also still at 1800-2000.

my question now is do i add just a little fuel at the plate and hold it back a little longer with the AFC?

thoughts?

90.39

these 35x12.50 tires are killing it, they are way too big i'm ordering some stickys this week though but i havnt made up my mind...

30/14.00-16 m&h cheater slicks or 33/10.5-16 mickey slicks...the truck has 4.10 gears

were lowering it down this weekend since we have 2 weeks till the 1/4m race. so with it being lower i am leaning toward the 30s, it will limit the top speed but i'm thinking its not going to get into the +130mph range at this time

what did the interceptor run in the 1/8th when it was running the 11.20 @ 120?

What was your 60ft? 7.0 in the eighth usually is about 11.0 in the quarter. Any quicker than 7.49 I think and you need a cage.

I'd definitely go for the 33" tall tires.

60ft was 1.75 again. It didnt spin until it got out a little ways.

Isnt the roll cage needed at 10.99 in the 1/4? Or a roll bar at 11.49?

Sent with a Droid RAZR in one hand and 14,000 volts in the other.

Yeah, you only need a roll bar once you're faster than 11.49.

Kinda figured if i was going thru the trouble of putting a bar in i would just go ahead and do a cage.

I was also thinking about the 33s just cant get the truck as low on them.

Sent with a Droid RAZR in one hand and 14,000 volts in the other.

It depends on how low you wanna go. With the 33's you may be able to take the over load springs out and or maybe just the block in the rear. While in the front just cut the coils down in the front.

Whats the engine/turbo setup now?

4.10s suck for 1/4mile racing IMO

Dodges have huge rear fender wells. You should be able lower it way down, and still clear a 33" tire. My truck is lowered like 4-5" in the rear and I put my buddies 37/13.5" MTRs on it just to see what it looked like(didn't have much clearance but they did fit with no rub). I also put 34-17.0 slicks on it aswell(avatar pic w/ 20psi in slicks)

ETA: your truck looks to be 4x4 so I don't believe you can go too low in the front anyways without parts hitting the front end

I put the 4.10s in because its got 35s on it but that was before we decided to quit pulling it and just race it. I dont mind swapping gears later if i need to. I still have the front 3.55s that came out of it.

I was planning on using no block and 1500 coils but if i do 33s then probably a 2" block and just cut one wrap off the front coils.

Its a 13mm ppumped 24v with 6x18 injectors with .010 lift s475/82/.90 turbo 181/210 cam

On the 11.20@120.75 run, I think the 1/8 was a 7.17

Im biased because my truck is similar, but id do the 3.55s if you can and run a 30-32in tire. 2" block in the back and a coil out of the front will work well, mine is 2" block in the back and 1/2 coil out of the front.

Id add a little more fuel to it and see how it responds. What dv's are in the pump?

Yeah i wish i wouldnt have spent the money on the 4.10s now cause i would rather run the 30" tires.

The pump has 024 dvs in it and is set around 550cc right now and 28* timing. Im going to leave that alone until after the rogersville race the 14th

The shorter tire will improve your reaction times, because of less roll out.

i ordered new raceline renegade 8 wheels yesterday and tomorrow i'm ordering the m@h cheaters in 30/14.00-16s i know that they will not be optimal with the 4.10s but it will still have a 130mph top end so that will be enough for now i think plus we mainly run 1/8th mile. after this year is up i will put the 3.55s back in it that were in it from the factory and that will give me a 164mph top end so that would be enough if by some stroke of luck it ever did make it into the 9s. this weekend it is going from 2" lifted to 4" lowered to set it down on the smaller tires. i just have to find some ubolts tomorrow for it. also ditching the factory fuel tank in favor of a 10gal fuel cell. we put an electric water pump on it tuesday. also putting electric fans on while we have it in the shop. maybe with all of this i can drop a 1/2sec off the 1/8th and just maybe make it to the 10.99 range the 14th. i still havnt locked first gear yet but i figure with the smaller tire i will be needing to plus i plan on it the last past at rogersville anyways.

what do you guys think?
