I also used race tyres, almost slick, on hard tracks and won. Those were only tyres I had, other pullers were wondering how I did it, they were digging themselves into the track with too agressive tread.

I don't know the rules but get a set of IMCA mod or Late model tires if you have 15" wheels and try them.
Soften tread as needed.

What are other pullers running for tires up there? They having the same sort of traction issues as well?

looks like yokohama geolandar mt but way cheaper.. may worth the try for 500$ ?
