A buddy of mine owns a welding shop and they bought 4 esab mig machines, they were miserable to get parts for (i think they were having drive motor issues) so they went back to miller. It might have changed in the last few years but it's something to think about.

ESAB and TWECO are now 1 company. Tweco bought Thermal Arc. So that said.

I have a Tweco 211i 3 in 1. I love it. It can mig AL with a spool gun which is another $250. It is lift arc and not bad to get used to. I also bought a pedal for it. I have a thread on here on what I bought and where.

I like ESABs equiptment. The only TIG I have at home is a little cheap ESAB 161lts. It was a 600$ kit but I am happy with it for the cost. The only downside is its a lift arc setup. Very portable and seems to be well built for being a made in China welder. I plan to add on of the higher end ESABs to my welding equiptment someday.
