Ceramic piston coatings?

Hi everyone.

Has anyone had any experiences with ceramic coatings for pistons, valves, manifolds etc. ?

I have looked at a few brands,
seen a few brands that people have used (not in real life, just internet)
Now wondering what brand might be considered "the best".

Swain seems to be the main brand, I could be wrong....

???

Swain is by far the best out there, what exactly are you looking for though?

Yup.

100's of threads mentioning ceramic coatings, but usually the exhaust or something.... never actually discussing or debating products..

I'll tell you what I'm looking for : "Swain is by far the best out there"

I've been "broadening my diesel performance" horizon lately.
Once I started coming across ceramic coatings, I've become intrigued and can't seem to shake the interest.
I can't understand why everyone wouldn't want their engine done with that coating.

Is the skirt coating worth the extra $$? Fixing to send off a set to be coated. Don't really want it to mess with my skirt to cylinder clearances
