Smokers are because they have wing windows.
I hate wing windows more than I hate cummins engines.
I am guilty about opening up my doors to back up. More so I usually just step out on the step and stand outside the truck.
I’ve just never liked the view outside of cab mounted mirrors.

Door mounted mirrors seem too close to the cab. All you see is the exhaust.

I finally got back home today and started tearing down my cat. There's a lot of scoring on rocker shafts and valve rollers and a few cam lobes. Cams getting swapped out for a marine cam but while doing a little looking around online I saw you can order the rocker bushings and the pin and roller kits to rebuild the arms. What's the process envolved for doing this? Just press out the old parts and press in the new pieces? Do the bushings need to be reamed afterwards?
I do have a metal lathe and could make a bushing driver if need be. Just wanna know if it's worth rebuilding them yourself vs buying remans.

Depends on what your time is worth. I bought a few complete rocker sets on EBay to have as spares for $250.

With a D12 you have more time for cuddlin’ and with a steel cab the guy beside you at the Pilot can’t hear what’s going on inside.

Don’t lump us all into that category. I don’t even like split windshields. “But their cheaper to replace” is the words most babble not knowing a 1pc curved KW window is $70.

Oddly enough the flatglass guys also tend to brag about their 6NZ (even if its not) and use the word "bro" alot as well

Anyone here know who can program an ECM for a IH DT444e. I have a friend that purchased a Pepsi fleet truck but it is governed for 65 and gutless. His 90 international non turbo pulls better. I am sure it has had the ECM flashed at Pepsi's request to nanny the drivers. Looking to see if I could have a factory 444e file flashed into it. Let me know if anyone can recommend someone. I really do not work on these trucks. Thanks!

But what does the engine sticker say his BSFC’s are? That’s what’s important.

Speed just anyone can do, power your pretty limited to dealer. None of the IH motors were awesome enough to bring a cult following of aftermarket tuning options. What I tell anyone that’s calls, if you bought a truck with an IH, Volvo/Mack engine you wanted cheap not power.
