Yes, people will tell you thinner is faster to react but IDGAF about air temp. I want to know metal temp so IMO slower probe would probably be closer to what the piston/head/turbine wheel is seeing.

Those thick ones are fast enough anyway. Open types are also faster but you want closed types for diesels and for continuous use anyway.

I’m currently sitting In Dearborn MI surrounded by Russians, Bosnians, Ukrainians, half of the Middle East and worst of all, French Canadians. I’ve been shopping for sweaters, loafers and dress pants that are 3 sizes too small so I can fit in. Also been scouring truckpaper for deals on Volvo’s. I’m sure the mood will pass when I get back south and breath better air. Until then Au revoir! As Eric Cartman said “Phuk Canada”

And then we’ll just come take it. The Canadian mounted police don’t scare anyone.

Even they’re not dumb enough to go that far north.

Sensor Connection makes 24 volt EGT gauges for real trucks. And their sensors have not failed yet, maybe they are not made in USA ?

When did you buy a real truck? Imagine a world where you don’t have to jack up your cab to work on your truck. It took us a while to wake up but we finally came around. Lol

Never heard of them. Not a bad price. I like that they're using new nozzles and not remaned nozzles.

I got a set of 100% over nozzles through Diesel Controls, Inc. in Massllion, Ohio for my 3406. Its just toy but they do a good job and Jim is very knowledgeable. I've also had 855 injectors and fuel pump rebuilt through DCI. Good prices and in my mind good work.

No mention of what the base part number is, that means you have no idea what the spray pattern will be. There is a reason cat has so many nozzle numbers.

Unloading that load took over 4 hours. Worst load I’ve ever hauled in my trucking career by far. Chit set up like concrete.

In other news, truck got all new fuel lines, new engine wiring harness, and still gets horrible fuel mileage. The old engine harness was a complete wreck so I guess, it needed that anyhow, however the hopes of it fixing our problems was a joke.
