Tight is better. Leak is lower

Factory mass produced parts can be of lower overall quality. We have been working on some new internal parts for the CR injectors that surpass the factory Bosch parts.

We have the back leakage ( return rates ) on static and dynamic conditions down by about 30%!!!!!!!

What does that mean for everyone?

1) Longer injector life before repairs are needed.
2) The ability to handle higher pressure without smoking the seats out as fast.
3) Quicker starts
4) More accurate timing of when the injector is asked to fire VS when it actually does fire.

Some comparison:

A new Bosch factory injector will typically measure about 10 m/l in our 1 minute dynamic test. That number will increase to about 13 m/l in a used injector that has not been hammered by pressure in about 50,000 miles. Usually we see em higher than 13 m/l. With most coming in around 15 or more. )-:

The ones we have been working on are coming in around 7 m/l. Longer term testing has shown no more than 8-9 m/l after thousands of miles. Still better than a brand new injector when compared to our used injector.

More to follow in the coming weeks/months.

Glad to see you working on better parts Don. Does this include the new SS injectors? Better internals for them would make them bas azz....

Now If I could just afford some new SS bodies!! lol

Can you tell us what to expect via the return line at the back of the head at idle and high idle (1500), maybe with the mp8 at 100% and operating temp for a set period of time between all injectors. This will give us a tell as to when we might need to start planning for new injectors
