title says it all. just about had it struggling out in the heat with this !@#$!@#$ thing trying to spread out the mount so I can put a new shock on there. Damn thing is bent inward from getting beat on with an impact gun.
lol, now I have the opposite problem.. trying to get the shock to stay put!
now that I have real shocks in there, theyre trying to oval out the holes.
I might try welding some 14mm washers to the front and back of the thing.
Always something!
Do you have the anti-crush sleeves in the bushings? If the shock mounting bolt is tight then it's unlikely to be ovalizing anything unless you're airing it out or bottoming it out hard-which would more than likely just destroy the shock well before ovalizing any holes.
These are king shocks.. looks like some heim joint in the bottom with a two piece sleeve.
The shocks have a good amount of damping so theyre ovaling out the holes on the crappy (and overpriced) streets we have here. At least it keeps the ricer population in check ;p
Im going to try making a steel ring to sit under the bolt head and see if that helps keep it in place.
