Gorends Customer Service i

Well they say your only as good as your last service. Truck is down and last week I ordered a VB. I had them build it while my core was in route to make the swap happen faster. Well the 4th of July was in the middle of that and in the original discussion they were working the following Thurs and Friday. Well a last minute decision and they got the days off. Well that's awesome of an employer taking care of their workers. But that leaves me short without the ability to work with no vehicle additional days.

So giving them the extra day for the part to show I finally call to find out about the extra 2 days delay and that with UPS it will be more they stepped up to the plate to get me back to work. The next morning I walk out my door and UPS delivered an overnight package containing my VB and other parts. I know that could not be cheap but they did go above normal conduct to make things right.

Well you can ask any more than that and if you do its often you don't get it. But Goerend definitely delivered and while I know I can get the same parts anywhere I know I will get them here as these guys are not just anywhere.

Thanks Goerend!

Dave promised me my transmission on a certain day and ended up sending his uncle down with the transmission on a 12 hour one way drive to meet the deadline.

I can't stand it anymore!!!
What a bunch of BS.

Everybody brags about how great they are, and I can't even get a phone call returned.
Sorry not giving my $ to someone who can't even call you back.

Thank you for your opinion. Sorry you feel that way. I'm not saying that Dave is the only show out there, I have two very good friends that work for completely different transmission companies and wouldn't hesitate to call them either.

Dave took care of me when I first got started, and when I tore stuff up, so that is why I say what I say about him and his business.

No BS. I run a Goerend's tranny and we've sold lots of Dave's products. Joe has run a Goerend's auto in the Bandit for years. You will not beat his customer service.

If you're waiting to talk to Dave it may take a while. Craig can answer any question you have and Denise can probably help you if your question's not too technical.

^This^ Denise is actually pretty smart when it comes to the trans. I love being 30 minutes away from them!

I wish they were closer to me so I could take my truck in. But the rebuild is being done with his parts regardless. The VB and TC are being sent back to them to be refreshed. It's not worth shipping the tras back and forth though...not when I have a reputable builder right up the road.

60,000 VERY hard miles on his trans in 5 years, held my 500-800 HP range with ease. And never had a customer service issue worth speaking of. Sure if you NEED to talk to Dave it can take awhile...but Craig and Denise are more than helpfull.

It's demise was entirely my stupidity.

Not trying to start anything, but Not returning my calls is a fact not my opinion.

I have rode in 2 trucks with his trans in them, and was impressed.
My personal experience is that If the guy will not call you back when you are trying to buy something, then you are SOL when it breaks and you do need service.

I completely agree with your point of view...however it is the exception, not the rule. For whatever reason.

Epically post by a dumb phone.

Obviously Not!
I was trying to buy a trans.
Hard to buy something when they will not call you back.
6 calls with 4 messages over the course of 2 weeks should be sufficient.

Let me ask you Mr Snyder, do you run your business this way?
Obviously Not!

I know Goerend is everyones Hero, and i'm sure that he builds a good trans.
I am just stating what happened to me.
It is the truth, believe me or not, I don't care.
The whole deal pizzed me off, so I had a local guy build me a trans.
I hate the way it shifts, but he answers the phone and has stood behind his work.

Ive gotten through to them every time (btw their deep pan is SWEET) and ive even had the tech guy call me back a couple days after the initial conversation to check on how my transmission was doing. And it wasnt even theirs.

Good people out there in iowa

Sorry for your troubles Duck. I wish it didn't happen to you. But good luck with what you have. I'm also having to trust a local builder, but he comes highly recommended and stands behind his work as well.
