Tach issue after p-pump swap

Hey my buddy p-pumped an 01 installed the new cam sensor relocation bracket and ground out the hole and the tach still has issues? Any ideas?

Here's a video he sent me and unfortunately he lives an hour and a half from me. Anyone have a similar problem, thanks in advance

Talked to Turbolover from Crazy Carl's and he suggested the sensor wasnt close enough or the sensor was bad. Already replaced the sensor so he's gonna look at the air gap, maybe grind some down

My 02 does the same thing, I will not do it when it free rev it all the way to 4000 but if I put it I gear and bring it up that high on the street then it will bounce like that.
I have tried a new sensor it fixed it for about two weeks and the started doing it again.
