47rh input end play help - Competition Diesel.Com

I am trying to set my end play on the input and keep coming up way over specs. I came up with .045 for the planetary end play. I have a .063 input shim and I come up with .145 total end play. What did I miss or do I need to have my overdrive section on to set end play. Using factory service manual and atsg and torqueflite a-727. Really need to finish this up.

OD section needs to be on, and make sure the intermediate shaft is completely seated.

Seated as in the overdrive section on the inner hub and planetary? Thanks for the help

Seated in the OD section. I take a rubber mallet and tap on the intermediate to make sure it is seated.
