A gasoline soaked rag is easier on rings imo. It's my go-to for heavy equipment, especially since "starting fluid" sucks these days.

I think I'll nab a can of the JD stuff next time I'm down there!

Had a problem with a ve pumped 4bt in an excavator. Had sprayed so much either into the air cleaner that when she lit, she went way up there for way longer than I wish it had. Last time I soaked an air cleaner that bad.
