03 still missing

I got a 2003 5.9 cummins with "new" reman injectors from industrial injection the dragonflys. I am chasing a miss with it. Had fuel knock something fierce cut out test revealed #2 wasn't changing so I pulled and inspected visually and reinstalled with new crossover tube and copper oring. Fuel knock gone now miss and white smoke still present. I got 15psi of fuel pressure at the cp3 and it's got a new fca and will build rail pressure with ease all the way to 20k psi. I bought the truck with the miss and paperwork for the injectors. No blow by doesn't seem to be gaining any oil from dilution. I have ohmed out the solenoids and they are all .5-.6 so where should I go next.

Yes. Start with the rocker box plugs to injectors, and work your way back.

Those 3 plug harnesses are notorious for giving people issues. Ohm out the wires and see where the issue is, verify that all connections are clean and tight too.

I've seen a lot of issues with those 3 connector harnesses. A lot of people will swap them out for the 06+ harness. You can find kits on line that sell you the new frame/harness and the replacement pigtails to convert the engine harness to the 2 connector style.

The duetch style connectors like to wick oil from the inside of the engine. Sometimes it's enough to take a good cleaner (like brake cleaner) and hose out the jack and plug to remove any engine oil. Air dry and retest.

Is it possible you have a loss of compression in cylinder #5? Cracked piston or broken ring can give you low enough compression to give a miss and white smoke I'd think anyway.

Valves seem good checked lash it's spot on, and as far as compression, no excessive crank case pressure and compression seems good, gonna move injectors around to see if the miss moves.

I would run them again to be 100% sure if you have pulled any rockers off. Check the rods as well, make sure you dont have any bent. Ive seen a lot of people change injectors and have a miss on start-up and freak out thinking it has injector problems when the lash is out a little the whole time.

Also may take a temp gun to the manifold and see if you can find the cylinder that is missing that way. A cylinder leak down test will help also, you could have a valve seat coming loose, which is common in the 03-04 engines.

It blows white smoke constantly hot or cold start, and rockers are good push tubes look good. Temp gun on the manifold had cylinder 5 40* hotter than the rest. Injector cut out test yielded 5 not changing.

Compression test that cylinder. It won't always have tons of blow by with one cracked ring.
