4BT Power Recipie

Well we will definatly post results! We just two brothers havin fun an doing our part to help the diesel world grow an be a great sport!

You want to help it grow, then give us more specs on your VE pump.... I don't need technical drawings or blueprints, just more info. Have you run it on a test stand? What does it put out for cc's?? I can respect if you have alot of time and money invested into a pump, and don't want to give away critical info. But just to say you did some stuff and it's amazing is kinda ridiculous.

Well all i can say ..... cuz i didn't build the pump, so i don't know all the details of wat is wat, but after a year of working on this pump setup, the only thing that is not touched by the milling machine, is the pump head an camplate! Everything else has bin modded in one way or another! The last 4 cylinder he built laid down 496! This one is close but it doesn't have wat the p-pump motor had!

We will ..... it's gonna be at fall brawl! Then we will have wat we have bin looking for, for a long time now!

The pump that will be on the truck for the dyno run will never hit production simply for lack of streetability. There is a few too many modded parts inside to run reliably and smoothly for the average guy.
It is a bone stock engine this time... except for the o-ringed head.

Hx-35 / hx-52 is the turbo setup. It is making in excess of 70 psi booost right now. This will be a FUEL ONLY run. I will hopefully have video and dyno sheet this time... for all the unbelieving among us :)

The pump is simply a 12mm head, stock camplate, and 3800 bosch gov spring.

Good luck, I honestly hope it works out for you. I like to see people make power with "outdated" tech lol.

This is why I won't expect more than 300hp at this time.
I do assume you were wastegating your little turbo??

I was just using the stock internal gate that I bored out to 1 inch. I've never measured interstage boost or drive pressure though. I had the small turbo gated to 26psi. 300hp on a VE was the number I was shooting for. I got close but never got into the pump.

1 inch gate?? I bored mine out to 7/8th and have it set to 22 psi or so. My 52 is making 35 - 40 psi. I'm shooting for anything over 300hp.
What size injector did you have? What was done to the pump?? I'm assuming fuel pin and gov spring, and turn the fuel screw??

ya, 1 inch. Flapper barely covers but it seals lol. I've run my DDP70lpm and my POD and both put down the same power. I think the DDP's were too big for my pump. Also, if I barked the turbo's with the DDP's in, it would airlock and the motor would stall. I'd have bleed the injectors to get it to start again. The POD's don't do that. Yes, fuel pin, 3200 spring and maxed fuel screw.
