third purple death trans just installed.....are the pressures right?

brand new tv motor

target governor pressure = 127 psi

actual governor pressure (at WOT)=99 psi

these reading are from my scan tool, do you think i need to put a manual gauge on to check the pressures?

this is a brand spankin new trans from gayts (aka-ATS) these pressures seem low to me

Yea, the pressures are too low. I would stick a manual gauge on it and see what it reads at WOT. Then you can put some vise grips on the stem that goes into the bottom of the motor and turnit all the way to the back and see what the pressure is. Did they not sell you some kind of electronic box to control pressures? Or did you get the copilot?

sounds low, when my trans was installed they checked witha manual gauge...... and since the copilot was mentioned, imho, a well built trans will not need it, since my trans was done the copilot only makes the truck drive weird. I think the way it is setup it works best for folks towing, as it locks better while off the fuel. while on the fuel it tends to lock early on light throttle causing tough to build boost conditions....... mine is still installed, but only goes on if I hit it by accident, and then I know why it is left off, friend of mine feels the exact same way. both of us just waiting for the chance to remove them and sell/ move on.

If the valve body isn't lapped flat and true it will cause low pressures

Sounds really low, put a mechanical gauge on it and check the actual pressure.

That sounds better, but still on the low side depending on who you ask.
