Las Vegas Diesel Drag Night Videos

nwtdiesel - Newly @ Underground Diesel Performance didn't get one clean run, all three attempted passes ended with blown boots somewhere between 330' and 1000'. I think his second run he coasted to an 11.99 after losing a boot around 1000'.

gs1000 - Todd seemed to be down on boost and power for some reason. Lots of 12.20's, 12.30's, and 12.40 passes. The track was fairly slick at the starting line so 60' times were slow for almost everyone.

I didn't get my Junker Drag Truck cobbled back together in time to race, so I just ran my camera.

The track was pretty slick before they finally sprayed it with VHT:

Thanks for the vids Will, it was fun hanging out with you last night.

As far as my runs I am a bit dissapointed. the track was terrible and my 60's were the worst I have ever done, 1.8xx i think i had a high 1.7 but not good for this truck. My power seemed down, was having issues with boost and such, but my biggest problem I think lies in my fueling and shifting. those runs were the cleanest I have ever gone. with the same fueling in KS at the first world finals I ran 11.08 with a bit of a haze, more than in these runs, so i got something to figure out in the fueling dept. also my trans shifts from first right to third skips second when under full throttle so that sucks. I didn't know how nice I had it on my race truck with the pcs controller, I now have an appreciation of all the trans shifting issues i see guys talk about.
Overall it was a fun night I drove it 2.5 hours to get there ran my runs and didn't blow up my truck, a new one for me, and then drove home. I will try to work out some of these bugs and go back out, wish underground could have made a full pass, he blew a boot right next to me, I seriously hate that sound. Be fun to see when he gets it all sorted out.

Great vids, thanks will!

I really like the way your track looks, as far as how it's setup. The lighting is awesome, I wish our's had some . Is this the same track you usually run the junker on?

PS: I apololigize for any spelling or grammatical errors, and so does Jim Beam.

Yes, this is the Junker's home track. The track is setup well because it's a major NHRA track that was built in the last 10 years. If only we could setup a major diesel event here, I think it would become a hit because of the other attractions in this town to do before and after the event.

Hell yeah it would. I'd try to make one in vegas for sure.

I'll still be 17 hours away, but if there's something major, I'd definitely love that road trip. Farthest west I've ever drove was denver, and a little past into estes park. I loved it.

I really want to see utah though.
