How hard are the shifts when you run it on hot street bmart? I will get the efi then have to baby the tranny before I get the tranny done. Working with a tight budget.

EFI Live does very little with the trans. 48re is pressure based with the valve body.

Thanks phil, I wasn't sure with all the computer stuff on these trucks. Not familiar with auto's either.

Ya it basically shifts like normal but will get up and go when I want it to. I just upgraded to the csp5 programming as well

The first 3rd gen I had was 2wd dually 305hp 6 speed. With the limited tuning options we had then I never got better than 17mpg. I always drive the speed limit plus 2-3. The 06 single cab 4x4 6 speed 3.73 work truck I drive some now with 285's gets between 16-17 daily with lvl 1 or 2 smarty jr tune. Going to put an EFI live tune on this 06 and see what I can do with mpg's.
