I've had an AFE pro dry for 3 or 4 years with no issues.

I'm getting the impression that no one is doing OA. Is it because they are beat on to the point that longevity is a pipe dream?

That's why I don't mess with it. I can rebuild an engine for 1000 bucks. I put decent air filters on and keep things as clean as possible. Run cummins oil and fuel filters and change it often. But 5500 rpm doesn't say hmm 200k miles

I run a Napa BHAF with a 62/65/14 and do oil samples. Silicone came back at 9 after 5500 miles last time in my 95 12v and came back at 5 in my 98 24v. I have been fighting high silicone since I got this 12v almost 2 years ago with paper filter in stock box. Tried Baldwin BHAF and it came down a bit from 32 to 24 but this Napa works the best.

5 and 9 are good numbers. That is a good illustration of BHAF quality differences too.

People make excuses when things look bad anyway." It was just this or I'll launch some counteracting scheme. "

I guess the NAPA BHAF can supply the cfm needed for compounds?
