The cage is all 1.75" x .120 wall DOM. Most of the fame is 1.75" .095 wall HREW tubing.

Haha, I wish. I have had to switch priorities the last couple weeks, I havent had any time for the race truck. I cant even get to it in my little garage right now.

I am gathering/rebuilding everything to convert my 04 to a dually. I had planned on doing everything last weekend but my gears never showed up, so hopefully I can get it all done this weekend.

My wifes car (2008 Escalade) has been having a bunch of problems also... I put an oil pump in it, cam sensor, and now a new fuel pump coming next weekend. I need to swap engines in the Jetta so I can get it sold, and I need to install a transmission I built for my machinist.

I still need to fix some things in my race trailer, replace the rear calipers on my 03 and get it ready for race season. I also got all the red iron and roof tin for my new shop, so I need to start the dirt work on that.

On this truck, I am on hold until I get some more money saved up as well. I had planned on using Jegs (QA1) coilovers and springs, but I talked to Sam Smith and he has pretty much talked me out of using the cheaper shocks. So that doubled the cost for coilovers... and I am pretty set on using fiberglass bedsides instead of cutting up another bed I have, so until it sells I cant order bed sides either.

I know good shocks can make a world of difference, it just sucks when you have to buy them. However it would suck more to buy cheap ones and fight them the whole time and loose races because of it.

Looks like you shortened the wheel base some. Did you build the in cab cage or use a pre fab one like Rhodes?

I started on the engine harness last night. My current plan is to utilize the AC pressure switch and governor pressure slots in the ECM as a drive pressure gauge and EGT gauge that I can rename and rescale through HP Tuners to make a poor mans data logger. I will also move the ECM inside of the cab to clean things up a little.

I bought the pin out information from All Data so it shouldn’t be too difficult.

Got my bed sides removed this weekend, FYI for any first timers... The top rail area is glued the inner bed section. Use a torch to heat it up from the bottom side and it comes nice and easy.

Got any ideas on how your gonna mount the sides? I’m about to start on mine. I can’t decide which way I want to go with it.
