Correct. Yes. $15k for the factory cummins aluminum block and head.

Are you sure it's legal to own it?

As we knew the block and head are from Cummins experimental engine.

In most cases experimental engines have to destroy after test period, they are not for public market.

There are plenty of experimental parts floating around. Cummins has bigger fish to fry than joe blow owning an old 12 valve experimental part.

Apparently people have had them for a while. I saw some back in 2009 and that guy had 2 blocks. They never used them because the blocks wouldn't live as they were designed per cummins engineers and some race boat project owners so they became coffee tables.

It would probably survive as a 400hp VE motor never seeing over 3500rpm. That's if someone with no sense and 15k to waste were interested.

It could happen. I mean... we wouldn't want to give society too much credit.

It most likely wont happen in this thread, on this forum.

Wouldn't it be cheaper to go on a diet and loose 70-100 lbs than buy a 15k block that weights less than 100 pounds less .. some aluminum bumper paint on a clean stock block boom tell everyone it's Aluminum

Again, this stuff may be worth nothing to others. For me, it is worth it.

Sorry you may not agree. Thanks for continuing to bump my thread up.

I'm not sure. He was trying to sell them at a NHRDA race in the pits. He wanted more than I could even consider giving for one.

You best get your stories straight DieselWrencher. I just acquired these a couple weeks ago.

Furthermore, If you don't want it, please hold your comments. I have done nothing to anyone on here to deserve the brow beating.

I will not give these away. I will finance if someone doesn't have the means at this time but would really like to have them.

Both pieces will be in the race trailer at UCC. Come by and have a look and maybe throw a few games of corn hole.

That's one of the good things about this forum... it's pretty well cut and dry.
There is no sensitivity training or back patting as to what someone may not wanna hear.
