I dont know how old this post is, I really guess I dont care. I have an hx40 that needs some work, Im experimenting with compressor wheels. what Ive come across is that some hx40 wheels share the same part numbers as he351 wheels. Can anyone confirm this? I know the diameter is the same, I know theyre aluminum wheels, and I know that holset at leasst lists some as the same part numbers? I have an hx40 with a chewed up 8 blade compressor. Will a 7 blade bolt right onto it, or is the major diameter (base) different? (58 vs 60mm) thanks guys! I figured this was the right place since this is basically what hes doing!

58-60 is the inducer side/size, the exducer on a 40 IIRC is closer to 78 and the HE351 is like 86 with a 60 inducer. also not sure on the shaft size. I have a spare HE351 comp wheel to measure/use if need be.
