Xcal 2 froze up while upadating firmware

I went to SCT flash and started updating my firmware when the Xcal locked up. None of the buttons worked so I had to remove the USB cable before the update was complete. Now the XCal will not power up at all! Won't power up through the USB or the OBD port, it's completely dead!

Thanks to Vivian I was able to get an RMA number and SCT is going to repair the xcal.
This is not the first time I have updated my Xcal, but something went wrong this time, has this ever happened to anyone else?
Any ideas what may have gone wrong?

Stock sucks!!! I don't have any

I know what you mean, when my strategy was changed it took me nagging SCT a month to finally get them to support the new strategy. They have been too busy with the Livewire problems to worry about us old Xcal2 users.

You're right, stock sucks!

Hey Leros,

In all honesty, SCT is always trying to stay on top of things. It's difficult for them because Ford is always changing things.

The old saying applies, "just when you know all the answers, they change all the questions". I used to add to it and say, "like our government", but I'm not going too

Thanks,
Vivian

Hey Vivian,

I know they are. I don't remember the exact number but I was suprised at the number of different codes/strategies that they support! They told me they have been extremely busy with the Livewire and alot of new strategy changes in our trucks other Ford vehicles. It took me to press a little harder on them to get my problem put back towards the front of the line. Everything is good now as I got alot of help from Andy at SCT to get my stuff straightened out.

BTW, I wasn't really raggin on SCT, I was just getting frustrated driving stock for a month. You just don't realize how much you use the power of a tuned truck................

......................until it's gone!
