First set was when I was in Iraq teaching the Iraqi's how to fly. For all the bad ones you read about there are some good ones, the first pic the kid had to keep the mask up/visor down b/c if the wrong people found out he was working with us they would kill his family. They had to change out of uniform before the left the base, it was safer for them that way.
 
I'm on the left, this was early in the deployment.

Yes it was a T-6, I was up in Tikirt/Al Sahra / Camp Speicher (depending on who you were but all the same place) teaching the Iraqis how to fly. was back in the summer of 2010, we did get to fly all over with them. I flew over there for 6 months, got to land in Balad and Victory, and flew approaches all over.

Cool, got a Navy bud that flew them at Vance AFB in Enid Ok before he went to the hell hole Kabul for and I.A.
