5.9 Blocks

Is any year block better than the other? I have a 94 block with 14mm mains but I might be getting an 05. Either way its going to be p pumped.

You need a custom cover to put the p-pump on an 05 block.

I'd stick with the 94 block assuming its good.

94 block is in perfect condition. I have heard the CR blocks have better oiling...

I read in another thread that the CR has a better oil pump, but I have no evidence to back that up.

I know the CR blocks are thicker but I think you would be good to just use what you have and not have to spend any more money. I mean both blocks have proven they are good for almost any high performance appl.
