Might keep it to where I can still haul our grain, but that doesn't mean I won't at least hook it a time or two. It's not geared real well to work it all the time, at least until I stick a RTLO 13 or 18 in it.

Yeah, was a detroit truck when I got it. Now it has a 3406B in it. I sold the pile of detroit to a guy in West Virginia. Still finding oil and grease from that detroit everywhere.

This had a 8v92 in it, the engine was in pieces, they were going to have it rebuilt on the road when it blew up in 1993, they bought all the parts and had the block machined and when they sat the crank in it a torqued it down it wouldn't turn so they packed it all in the truck and on pallets and hauled it home and it set in their shop till I pulled it out last year.

They never checked to see if the wrong bearings were ordered or anything, and the engine and all the new parts just basically went to waste, the crank was stored properly, but the block and cams were beyond repair. I sold it for a little less than what you would have spent to buy the injectors outright.

Alrighty. So now that I've gotten back up here to ND I've realized that my 6'2" ass doesn't fit in that 359 very well after spending a couple days in the W9, what parts do I need to find to cut the big hole in the cab/sleeper so I can move my chair back a few more inches? I'm also going to swap to an early 379 tilt column too. Any pointers?

Also, I'm leaving the solid mount cab/sleeper alone, I just want the big sleeper opening.

I know two people who have "unibilt'd" their trucks. One did it himself and said it sucked and would never do it again, the other paid to have it done and loves it. The first guy said its a lot of work and unless you have plenty of time and a way to remove the sleeper don't attempt it.

I like classic trucks. Just no way I could ever work one daily. I like my creature comforts, it's gotten bad enough I hate driving a few of our trucks that don't have the smart wheel. Leaning up for switches is just such a PITA. Lol

I think if you could start with a good base like one of the industrial you might have a decent engine to build off of one.

Thanks, I'm partial to my K100s and still might pick up another one or two, but when I found this one on Craigslist I couldn't pass it up being so close. I probably should have built an electronic engine to set down in it, but the B model with the air to water was the easiest.
