4th gear burn out

Frickin 1000.00 joy ride, got that new pump on,a buddy came by and wanted to go for a ride in the 12v, so i went out back fired it up,took it for a little ride to warm it up, decided to do a little boosted launch in 3rd, 2wd, about 10-15 psi, as soon as i got off the clutch the boost shot to sixty and bam. another tranny shot, anyhow one of my other buddys said to shim the tranny really tight to where it feels like a tight wheel bearing and it'll be much stronger, IDK but i'm gonna try it. the pump is sweet. just letting you know.
