my truck wont start unless u use starting fluid or roll the damn thing off what should i do?

start with not using either, thats going to damage your engine, first off do you have any codes, do the key cycle trick to retrieve codes, turn the key on-off-on-off-on stopping in the on position but do not start the truck, do it over a period of 2-4 secs, and the codes if any will show up in the odometer, then it will read done, but sounds like to me your lift pump has taken a dump...

well i put a new lift pump on it and that didnt seem to help at all. and i dont think i have ne codes but i can check that.

do you know that you have fuel pressure? if the fuel system has any air in it then you will get a no start.
Does it fire at all, any white smoke while cranking? We need a few more hints as to what its doing. It could be a rail pressure issue, or injector issue.

03's have had injector issues.

Has the hard starting progressed to this point.... Sounds like bad injectors.

Sounds like an injector they stick letting the rail pressure bleed off and the motor wont turn over fast enough off the starter to billed pressure back up until you hit it with ether and it fires need to have them checked its probally just 1 that will cause the problem.

We have one in the shop doing the same thing. Going to pull injs. after lunch and check them. If you need someone to check them for you pm me and we can talk. We have the machine to check them.

yea think u all are going in the right direction cause the truck just doesnt turn over fast enough and i can shoot it some either and it will fire rite up but i dont have ne white smoke or ne thing like that when i start it

It could also be a weak/bad rail valve:
