New dual cp3 kits

With the newer "lower profile" dual kits available, who's used what.... thoughts, opinions, experiences.... don't really want to run an ATS, II, or PPE kit as to avoid the known issues which I had dealt with on a past truck running the PPE kit.

Also knowing the fleece kits manipulates the electrical signal commanded from the ECM I'm Leary of that, but there's not a lot of information out on the H&S from end users.

Only going to be using 150% over injectors.

Welp I bought a PPE kit for my build so I have to ask. What issues did you experience?

The typical controller failure which spike my rail to a nonstop 29k and made the 6.7 sound like a 7.3. They sent the revised top cp3 hardline as some had failures as results of the engine harmonics creating fatigue in the line. II and PPE used to be manufactured by the same, not sure anymore.

I have been running my ppe kit for 10 years w/o problems, the fleece kit is what id go with for the lp factor , but not sure about longevity of the wiring .

When that happened did you switch to the fish controller ?

Ended up parting out performance parts and getting out of diesel at that time to refocus my life and priorities. At that time in 2010 I can't remember if fish was out, or they may have just started coming out!

That's impressive!

I like the rigidity and quality of the H&S kit, especially compared to all the other kits I've installed(PPE, ATS, Wicked). The only downside is the rail pressure junction block bolts right in place of the factory fuel filter housing, which means all the low pressure fuel lines need to be completely re-plumbed. It makes the high pressure setup nice and rigid though.

I do not know anything about the fleece kit...I haven't seen even seen a fully installed setup to be able to critique it. If you have any pictures, could you post them?

Fleece or HSM is my go to here. You can get the HSM with a controller or with a piggyback harness. In my experience for a dual CP3 setup you can’t beat the piggyback harness reliability.

On the H&S piggy back is it requiring voltage modifications in the tuning for the FCA like the fleece?

So in all reality I could go to the piggyback harness on my PPE kit if I have controller issues later on correct?

Is that all?!?

Just found it....

1.6-1.7

Take full control of your Cummins dual CP3's using your just your ECM. The CP3X2 harness allows you to control your Cummins dual pumps without an expensive dual pump controller.

We recommend multiplying the stock FCA current table (D0787) on the Cummins ECM's by 1.6-1.7 as a place to start. The FCA current varies from truck to truck based on the solenoid characteristics, age, and idle lift pump pressure. Higher lift pump pressures at idle will require more amperage at the top of the table (low desired fuel flow) to keep the rail at it's target pressure. If the truck will not start after multiplying the table by 1.7, revert back to the original tune and multiply by a smaller number until the truck starts easily, yet maintains the target rail pressure at idle. This is one of the more time consuming calibration procedures on heavily modified trucks, so make calculated changes, so that you can dial it in as quickly as possible. Once you have the truck idling at the correct target pressure you may need to modify the middle and lower portions of the table to prevent rail pressure overshoot or undershoot. Again, methodical changes in the FCA table will yield the best results. Use the EFILive Scan Tool to log your changes and adjust in the Tuning Tool as necessary. Keep in mind, more current is less flow, and less current is more, zero current being full flow from all pumps. Theoretically you should be able to control 3 pumps. The table will allow the driver to deliver up to 5 amps of current."

I have the II dual kit. The belt was worthless did not fit at all. It was to the point that just by looking at it was not enough. Had to spend extra money on another belt.
