QCSB quicker 60ft times
I recently bought a 2003 QCSB 4x4 (Pic in my Avatar) that had already been built. Previous owner says it ran consistent 11.50s (which I believe) truck makes close to 900hp right now.
The best ET I have gotten out of the 6 passes I have made is a 11.71 at 115 with a 1.78 60ft. Best 60ft so far is a 1.71 leaving on 15lbs.
Since I have bought the truck, I have removed the rear overloads and 1 leaf on each side, and added some Caltracs set on the last hole at the bottom with the rollers touching but not tight on both sides. I run 305/50/20 Nitto 420s with 25psi up front and 20psi rear.
I have yet to weigh the truck, but I am working on lightening it up a bit. My next round of weight loss should remove about 400lbs, I just want to unbolt things for now, dont really want to cut the truck up yet.
I know guys have been making these trucks fast for a long time with the parts I already have, so I am hoping I can get some shared experience to help make mine quicker.

You need to launch harder. 15psi won't get you the 60' times you're after. 22ish psi is the sweet spot for my truck. 25+ blows the tires off, below 20psi has slower 60' times.
This was with some wore out 285 all terrains and a simple bolt on traction bar setup launching around 20-22psi. Stock shocks in the rear, full weight with gooseneck hitch etc (weighed 7400lbs with me in it).

My first three passes were useless as I had a bunch of problems and didnt get any good data. My last three were at my local track as follows.
11.80 at 115mph with a 1.89 60ft on 10lbs
11.74 at 116mph with a 1.77 60ft on 15lbs
11.71 at 115mph with a spinning 1.78 60ft on 25lbs
These were done last Friday, and a couple days ago I found out that the TV lever on the transmission had fallen completely off... I noticed the truck was flaring between gears at the track but didnt have time to look into it. I got it fixed and may try to get back out this Friday again and see what it does.
The tune that is in the truck now is really touchy while staging so its hard to keep it between 15 and 25lbs which is where I need to be. I will try to make a pass at 20lbs which should be in the sweet spot.

Im sure, I will tune the truck myself though. I just want to see what the truck has in it before I go messing with the tuning.

It was a local guy here in south Tx, he just ran it at our local track. I dont think he ever took it to any diesel events.
S467.7/87/.90
10.6mm Motorsports pump
125hp II Injectors
Full Billet 47re w/ full manual VB
Hamilton springs and pushrods
dynoed 880hp at 2700us
I am about to put a dual pump kit on it as RP cant keep up. That should add a little more power, but I have a few other changes to hopefully get it over 1000hp.

Awesome. Those times i posted were with my old engine and compound setup. I'm now running 100% overs, twin exergy pumps, stock engine, and a fleece billet 468/87/.90. We got it to dyno 1000 on a 2500uS tune but have it backed down now.
That truck should be a blast to drive.

I think the previous owners username on here is "Spooled". I remember following his threads about the auto swap here and on CF.

It is a fun truck.
What is your drive pressure with that setup? I am looking to go to a bigger exh housing on mine with some spray.

Have someone, or a gopro, video the Caltracs. On a footbrake set-up there should be room between the spring and the Caltrac roller. Basically as you get on the brake and up on boost, the Caltrac will then load the spring. If starting out tight before spooling, you may be binding the suspension. Just my

I don't think there is an issue with drive pressure if there is no spray involved.

Set the truck on level ground. Rotate Cal-trac until it touches spring, Loosen 3 Full Turns. That will Give you pretty Close to the pre-load when you brake boost it.

try and launch off rpm instead of boost. Easier to watch that needle and you can up it 100 rpm per launch until you get where you want.

I am going to go run it tonight again. I pulled off the tailgate and back seat, just weighed the truck, should be about 6800lbs with me in it and 1/4 tank of fuel. There is still a few hundred pounds that I will remove later on.
I adjusted the bars last night and I had one side preloaded way too much, so that along with Brads recommendations has helped a lot with suspension travel.
I appreciate the help everybody.
