Not enough time
Picked up a ratty 94 after having to sell my built up 95 I had for 10 years . Well ended up selling the ratty 94 to help cover a remodel I was doing to my place during the slow season here.

The 12 valve gods hooked me up with a cleaner 94 last week. Snagged it for 5k.

Has 800 miles on a trans I built 2 years ago. Guy had just put new tires and steel rims on, Yukon grizzly locker , unit bearings, mbrp exhaust bunch of other little things .

I did the basic pump work and gsk in 2018. Has some 5x10s or 12s in it.


Trans has a dpc triple lower stall

18* timing

Clean truck for Alaska , no rust holes . Got the truck for less than he had in the transmission


Never thought I’d get back into a 12 valve and be able to have a quick one at that.

Getting a gt 369/75/14 with ball bearings soon, 5x18s and a 215’pulpmive held onto. Have some traction bars on a roller out back with gauges to steal off it also. Truck feels like it runs low 14s now. Soon as Dmv opens it’s going under my trucking business and the build will begin.

I like it. Looking forward to seeing some action with that 369.

I’ll have the turbo before I get the converter restalled and before I have the 5x18s. I won’t have much time to wrench on it this summer . Alaska highway construction season is short but very busy. Keeping my KW ready to work pretty much takes all my time . I do have a used dpc triple I picked up last year I may send off to get stalled higher and have it ready to go , take this low stall unit out of my 47rh and use it on my wife’s 06 which is about do for a trans .
 
Go compounds with a 58, over 80mm. Be alot more fun, than a slow ass 369 single that spools from 3600 to 4000.

I ran a Frankenstein k31 Greg Turner and his friend built in 2017. Lot pretty fast if I didn’t lug it in lockup. Had a .9 s400 housing machined to fit the 76mm turbine

Compounds would be great but I’d probably go large on them as well. I’m fine with it spooling in the low 2000 rpm range. We’ll see if it runs better than the k31. That k31 was pretty much zero boost while in my small town. Maybe 5 psi while doing 55. It would break the 235/85/16s loose at 65-70 mph
 
Held 60 psi on stock head bolts. 305k miles on the truck when I sold it.

19-20* of timing , new cummins lift pump with a comp cams spring . The lack of a better lift pump probably held back some fun. Couldn’t ever get that tcase lever to stop ratting
