Ok has anyone done a test of how far you can push t3/t4/t6 and what a/r you had in the tests and what turbo specifics? I did some looking around and couldn't find anything. There may already be a post on this.
Seems like on several trucks I've been messing with trying to get more out of them
So I've got 3 trucks all in the 900-1000 range all 3 have dual fuelers w/stock pumps. I'm tuning all three trucks.
Truck 1 is 05 5.9 88% II Injectors, S476SXE 96 Turbine T6 1.15 and made 983hp @3400rpm 50psi boost 63psi drive
Truck 2 is 05 5.9 200% DDP Injectors, S476SXE 87 turbine t4 .91 and made 930hp @ 3100rpm 55psi boost 70psi drive
Truck 3 is 08 6.7 123% II Injectors, 66/74 .80 t3 gated housing then a 80/96 1.32 t6 compound setup. Made 916 hp @3100 rpm 70lbs boost 73 lbs drive.
I know this isn't comparing apples to apples by any means but I'm just curious if someone has done an accurate test with adjusting tuning to make optimal power with a specific setup and turbo then changed only turbo and see what the limits are and where the choke hold is really happening. As you can see the truck with the smallest injectors is currently making the most power and is obviously seeing the lowest drive pressure.
