cummins with allison transmission

I've just acquired a dodge 3500 that has a cummins motor and allison transmission out of an old school bus. i don't know much about this set up and everything is in pieces. before i go ahead and put it together for the allison, i have a zf5 from my old powerstroke i totaled which do you think would be the best set up? truck will be 4x4

its probably the old allison AT545. you probably would like the manual trans over that transmission.
