It’s sad that I’m not even at the race and I’m posting some updates. This place is so empty.
Todd is alright, lots of videos floating around, I won’t make any speculation posts. I’ll let the guys from PDD comment when the pain eases a little.
I’ve got an axe to grind with social media, honestly the people posting pictures and stuff are simply looking for views and for something to go viral. No comment on if anyone is OK or what in the crap happened, just some generic comment to get attention. Alright done with my soap box

You know what else is behind the times...?
I’ll be curious to see if they go with a hammy block or something a little more pricy.

Alligator performance has a video of the run on the FB.
Did something stick in the throttle? Or why did he stay in it for so long after the time showed up on the board?

If I’m not mistaken, that was a solid 6.7 Hamilton block.

They certainly do not leave much on the table when they go out. that is one heck of a fireball. I wonder if they are going to start using some telemetry to monitor/record block vibrations and such. If they are breaking this much chit and keep going at it harder, the extra invested in some good data acquisition would do well.
But then again, I do not know how much more you can go after splitting a solid block.

Cam makes it out in one piece because the blocks split along the cam bore.

Agree 100 percent. I didn't even know it ran such an impressive time till you posted something. Time to start putting cables around those drag motors!

Any word on if the trans survived that neutral drop or if it scattered too?

We haven't pulled anything apart yet. The outside of the trans case is still in tact, but it has a blanket and flexplate shield so we can't see what the case really looks like.
