any good tricks to removing the block heater? 96 block. seems to be stuck in pretty good.

The can be a real *****. Air hammer to get it moving.

Thanks, I got it out by putting a 1/4 bolt thru it, and put the nut on with a magnet. then used the slide hammer to yank it out.

I remember standing on my valve cover with a sledge hammer and big chisel back in college to get it moving. Couldn't afford fancy things like air hammers back then! ha ha

The new one went in easy, and no problems in ~12 years.
