Compressor surge at WOT?

Just installed my new 63mm H1e (no Map width enhancer grooves) on my truck, but sold my chip, so I am running w/o any form of boost fooling. I can hit 35psi. At WOT when I lock-up my tc (at around 30psi), my turbo starts barking. Anyone have had this happen? My best guess is that since my truck is trying to defuel past 20 psi, the turbo slips way over to the left side of the compressor map when I lock the t/c. what does everyone think?

normal!!!

when your tranny shifts or goes into lockup, engine RPM drops below the point where it is consuming enough air to keep the turbo from surging...
