Lol I know he is a buddy of mine Just pulling your truck around dude. He knows what to do next, he just wanted to know if he could run the dragon fire on the street with a stock turbo. I told him he is going to run even hotter if he got into it. I plan on helping him get it built up. He is aiming for more than 650 I will tell him that lol. Thanks guys for all the advice and help.

He'll probably run cooler due to to much fuel being dumped in there that it will put out the flame.

Nope. Been working on my truck for the last 8 years. I've been around the block, I've seen the results, I know what combos work, I know how these trucks react, and I've made enough mistakes to know what not to do. And I'm not being arrogant, I'm being blunt. Your wasting your money buy buying a dragon fire now and waiting to buy a turbo. For the cost of a dragon fire you can buy a big ass set of sticks and a nice 66mm turbo and have better driveability, better smoke control, and close to the power your looking for. And if that doesn't satisfy you then go and get your dragon fire. But don't buy it now and baby it till you get a turbo cause if there's one thing I've learned in this sport is that even though you may plan on buying something in a couple of weeks doesn't mean its going to happen.

Let's also not forget that if the dragon fire is like the monster pump then your injectors are probably to small for it and you might damage the pump and I'm pretty sure II won't warranty it for that.
There's a reason everyone is telling you not to do it. Its not because we are arrogant or jackass's or anything like that. Its because we all know the consequences of what your doing and the benefits don't even come close to outweighing the risks.

he's got a good point, i would go get a turbo and a good set of sticks and then if that isnt enough, then go get the dragon fire.

Heck, you could run a set of 200-230hp sticks and slap an ht3b or an s400 under your stock turbo and have 600-620hp on fuel only. And that would cost close to the same as a dragon fire. Not to mention that when your VP goes out (which it will) you'll only have to spend a $1000 on an SO pump vs what, $2300 for a dragon fire?

Tyler, who are we to give him advice? Why didn't you ask industrial? If you were truthful to them about it they should have told you the same thing we're telling you, NO. You will cook you're turbo.

Yea get your charger first! Way to much fuel out of the dragon. You can always send it back down the road and have it upgraded for the same price. You def would need new cross over tubes and biggers stix anyhow or they say the pump won't hold up.

What is wrong with your HRVP that "needs work" I've never heard of a VP needing work. They either work or they don't.
IMO a better question would be "Do I need a Dragonfire for my goals?"

The hrvp is acting just like the stock vp was before it went out, it is taking longer to crank in the mornings.

If they are warranting it, I'd try to get a SO. But if he tapped it the warranty is gone so???
Regardless of turbo/injectors a Dragonfire is unnecessary. It's money that could be spent on a turbo, and better sticks.

Usually they take longer to crank after they've been run for a while. Not first thing in the morning. Is he losing prime somewhere? How often does the truck get driven?

There are two versions of a VP in our trucks SO = standard output or HO = high output.
You can put a SO pump on a HO truck but not a HO pump on a SO truck won't work.
SO puts out more pressure.
