Dragon Fire Daily Driver?

Im runnin a comp box, 100 horse injectors, and a hot rod vp44 with a 150 fass on a stock turbo. im thinking about getting the dragon fire pump instead of the hot rod. has anyone ran the dragon fire with a stock turbo?

Your joking right? That stock turbo isn't enough for what you have now much less for running the dragon fire. Not to mention that your gonna need to step up on injectors big time to run a dragon fire in order to actually use the fuel the pump is capable of.

no im not joking. im gonna baby the truck around until i choose a turbo for my setup. any sugestions on a turbo if i step the injectors up?

66mm at least. Save yourself the hassle and buy the turbo first and then step up to a big set of injectors and then if you want more then go and get the dragon fire.

well i need to decide about the pump soon bc mine has to be sent back for a little work. and i might just get them to swap it out for the dragonfire if it will be ok for a month or two with the stock turbo

i would like to see 650+ on #2 in the future. keep in mind that im not gonna be hot rodding the truck with the dragon fire until i get the bigger turbo.. i just need to know if it will be ok for a short period of time.

Go to an SO vp, a big set of twins or a big single, big injectors, upgrade the comp to a drag comp, and that'll get you close to your goal. Then spray it and you'll be well north of your goal.

i would have to disagree if his truck runs like mine IIhrvp 100s and quad boostfooler is a perfect setup for a hx35 my truck makes more power than a sovp 150s and edge comp hot hx35
but i highly reccomend you do injectors and turbos first then decided to go with a big vp

It's not enough turbo with a comp, 100's, and a hrvp.

And I would expect your truck to make more power with just a set of injectors and a hrvp on a stock turbo than a guy with a fueling box and bigger sticks on a stock turbo. Your not pushing near the fuel that guy is. And once you tap the wire on a HRVP it's gonna make the same power as an SO.

same dyno i ran both truck he did 407 i did 420 my truck defuels at 3300rpms has more power runs alot harder a drag comp would only gain 20hp over a hrvp its not that much

how streetable is this pump im wonderig if i should go with one or stay with the SO's, im running a bullet with 7x.018 injectors and a comp, and i have an s480 sitting here to go under the bullet if need be. the truck hazes all the time right now but how much more fuel is there down low because its fairly smokey with the comp off and driving it like a grandma.

He's WAY overfueled for that stock turbo. Contrary to popular belief, to much fuel is just as bad as not enough. In this case he's the first. Slap a 62 on there and try again. Bet you get drastically different results.

So your saying you could take a stock pump and spray it and make more horsepower, than putting a dragon fire on the same set up? thats true but thats only because of the stock turbo right?

No. I'm saying that you can reach 650hp without a dragon fire pump. The dragon fire will make more but it's not needed for his goal. And trying to spray nitrous or run a dragon fire pump on a stock turbo is about as dumb as covering yourself in cow blood and slapping a lion on the nose with a baseball bat.
