2007 puffs black smoke while cruising
I have a 2007 6.7, 5" tbe, smarty, and drop in afe filter. Steady driving with no load truck starts puffing out heavy black smoke, goes away when truck goes into boost. Injector?

Im sure the trucks got a dpf delete done to it. So you need to pull up the dpf delete instructions on the smarty web site and make sure you've done everything correct. Sounds like the egr valve is opening.

Sounds to me like the throttle valve for the egr isn't unplugged and is closing on the highway, mine did this as well, it has to be unplugged with the ME smarty tunes.

I unplugged the egr and it didnt do it on the drive to work, I was under the assumption 14me you didnt have to unplug them. Guess that proved to be wrong. I just need to delete it all, looks too cluttered under the hood.
Thanks to everyone for the help.
